Pre-Qualifying for a Mortgage

With the many new qualifying rule changes and programs out today, meeting with a mortgage company representative prior to starting to look for a home will be of great benefit to you. This is the good way to determine in what price range the house hunting search should be.

If at all possible, start the loan process as soon as possible so that you will be Pre-Approved prior to starting to look. Being Pre-Approved is an excellent way to strengthen your offer when it is presented to the Seller and your negotiating position. This way the Seller will know that they have a good Buyer and that only a satisfactory appraisal need be done to take the transaction to a closing.
